How to clean falsies

I hardly repurchase false lashes, because they last me a very long time . A lot of people don't bother cleaning and taking care of their false lashes well. To be honest, I was one of them too. Whenever I was about to remove my make-up, I just tore the lashes off my eyelids and tossed them in a corner somewhere. If you do it once, it's no big deal, but if you keep doing it repeatedly, your false lashes aren't gonna avoid damage and last long.

So here's a little guide how I clean my false lashes.

These are the Dolly Wink No. 2 Sweet Girly. I bought them in July 2011 and I've worn them almost everyday since.

Starting off, the lash on the left side is before cleaning. Lash on the right side is after cleaning.

I put my lash on a cotton pad with some cleansing milk.

Plucked most of the glue off the lash bone with a bobby pin & tweezer. You can also do this in a sink, but I often ruin the design when I use soap/water.



A lot of the glue has come off! I'm repeating the previous step on a clean cotton pad with some tonic, to remove the remaining glue.



Using an old toothbrush I gently brush along the lash spine to ensure the last bits of  glue are gone.





After I'm done I put my lashes in my lash box or back in their original container.
